Invisible No More

Ending child labour where it hides—in homes, markets, and supply chains.

Every child deserves the freedom to learn, play, and grow—but for millions, childhood is replaced by long hours, dangerous conditions, and lost dreams. In homes, in markets, on cocoa farms, and in hidden corners of the service industry, children are working when they should be learning. Many are exploited, abused, unseen, and unprotected—especially girls working as domestic labourers in private households. Our Child Labour Programme confronts this injustice head-on. We work to identify, prevent, and eliminate the worst forms of child labour, restoring childhoods and building systems that protect children today and into the future.

Our Approach

We focus on child labour in the service industry, domestic work, and agricultural supply chains, with a special emphasis on the cocoa sector. Our approach is multi-layered and grounded in both community action and policy change:

Strengthening families through parenting support, economic empowerment, and access to social protection

Identifying and withdrawing children from exploitative labour situations

Providing children with life skills, education support, and safe spaces

Community sensitization campaigns to shift harmful norms and build protective environments

Training employers, local leaders, and enforcement actors to recognize and stop exploitative child labour

Partnering with cocoa producers and private sector actors to build ethical, child-friendly supply chains

Advocating for stronger legal frameworks and accountability mechanisms

Project Locations

Our work is currently focused in key areas of Kenya and Cote D Ivoire where child labour in the informal service sector, domestic work and cocoa industry remains prevalent. We work in both rural farming communities and urban centres where hidden labour is common.
